When do you think I can bring my baby to the public swimming pool?

Rather than a public pool, do consider bringing your baby to specialised pools for babies where the water is heated to a comfortable temperature and the water is sanitised. AquaBambinos http://www.aquabambinos.com.sg/ Little Swim School http://www.littleswimschool.com/ If you prefer to bring your baby to a public pool, I recommend that your baby's first dip in the pool be limited to 10 minutes as the water tends to be very cold. http://www.babycentre.co.uk/x542046/how-soon-can-i-take-my-new-baby-swimming

I would recommend to bring baby to public pool once his/her immune system is stronger, normally after 1 year old as public pool is more crowded and more germs. If you wish to let baby play in water, you can invest in a mini baby pool at home.

Super Mum

At least six weeks after your baby's birth. Sooner can be a chance for infection.

When the baby is able to walk on it's own.
