What's the first thought that came into your mind when you finally saw your baby at delivery?

I'd expected myself to cry, but it was a lot less dramatic. When she was placed in my arms, I remember that she felt warm and she was sucking her thumb. I told my husband that "ooh, she has dimples!" and watched her do the breast crawl, where she blindly felt her way onto my breast and started latching. I actually didn't feel very connected during my pregnancy because I was worried about the possibility of a negative outcome, so when she came out, I was relieved and it was more like "Hey, you're here" than an overwhelming gush of emotions. It could also be due to the fact that my pregnancy was very smooth sailing and there were no complications.
