What kind of mosquito repellant would you recommend for newborns? Is there anything that's safe to use on the skin?

If you're not too keen on using repellants with deet (an active chemical ingredient in insect repellents), you might want to try natural repellents are made with plant oils such as citronella, lemongrass, peppermint, and cedarwood. They generally need to be reapplied more often than products containing deet. One suggested product is Human Nature's Bug Shield Deet Free Oil. You can purchase them here from 7.90SGD onwards: http://www.humannature.com.sg/product.php?prodgrpid=08001-citron

You may consider getting mosquito repellent patches which can be pasted onto the child's clothes and are just as effective. It's like a scratch and sniff pad where the pad releases natural oils to prevent mosquitoes from coming near your baby. You can purchase them at AgapeBabies: http://www.agapebabies.com/agapebabies/disney-winnie-the-pooh-mosquito-repellent-patch-24-patches.html
