Hi what does he mean by a piece of mind? If there is an issue between the two of you he should settle and communicate the issue with you and not use this as an excuse to go batam for whatever purpose it was. Sure we all need me time once a while but there is no need to secretly go. I will be very suspicious of his intentions and I will tell him to not do it again. He should solve be problem between you two and not create more problems by escaping to Batam. Very sorry to hear you going through this.
