What are best foods to begin BLW?

Whatever your family is having, as long as it is healthy (no/low salt), can be offered to your blw baby longer sticks/wedges/slices that are double the width of your baby's palm work best for those starting out - babies grip with their whole palm and suck on the ends that dangle out of their grasp. asparagus, brocolli spears, wedges of conference pears, steamed apple rings were successful in our household

Some of the finger foods great for BLW include cooked vegetables like sticks/slices/chunks of carrot, broccoli, sweet potato, potato, courgette, butternut squash and apple. You can also introduce raw slices/chunks of banana, avocado and peaches. I was told that you should introduce veggies first because fruits tend to be sweeter and this might turn baby off other types of tastes.

Finger food are perfect. make sure the veggies you choose are not slippery. broccoli might be a good start
