What is the benefit of putting baby in a playgroup or infant care? My husband say it won't be better then teaching him at home. So ask me to have confidence in myself and teach my 8 month lo until he can enter enrichment classes or kindergarten. He say playgroup is only for social interaction will not be better then I teach my lo 1 to 1. I am a sahm I am okay to take care of lo just want to know the what's so good about infant care or playgroup because all my friend been asking me to put my lo there...

I would agree with ur hubby. Playgroup is about 2-3hrs a day and it is mostly for socialising and build independence for your LO. Mine is 20months and just started playgroup. And i notice she knows alot more than what playgroup teachers are teaching. So depends on what u r looking for. If u r thinking "educational" wise, staying home and taught by u is beta in my opinion. :)
