The yaya of my nephew has been with the family since he was a newborn. Now that he is 7, there's really not much need for one. But we want to keep her around since she is now part of the family. Have you transitioned yayas into a more general role in the family even if her main skills revolve around childcare?

Our yaya at home has been with us for 21 years and is pretty much a member of the family. It is rare to find yayas who will stay for long and you have to treat them well in order for them to stay. Give them benefits like pay for their SSS and Philhealth, pay for the tuition fee of their child, etc. It helps to have a loyal and trusted yaya around. :)
