If you want interaction and enhancing your baby's motor and coordination skills, you can try reading him/her the book by Sandra Boynton--Barnyard Dance! (1993). It has colourful animal illustrations as well as some dance steps which you can do while reading the catchy rhyming lines in the book--which for sure will keep you baby engaged. I am not very particular in choosing storybooks. But what I choose are those books with colorful visuals and not too lengthy narrations because at this point what we want to develop is their visual sense. You can buy storybooks at Books For Sale that are cheaper. :)
Some of the stories on this list aren't necessarily fit for a 1 year old, but the ones that are...are perfect! Plus, they're highly lauded by a bunch of really successful people! https://ph.theasianparent.com/21-storybooks-suggested-by-successful-people/
Board books are great for babies as they will bite and drool on them. My son's favorites until now (turning 3) are board books by Karen Katz, Hug by Jez Alborough, and Giraffes can't dance. Touch and feel books are also great for sensory activity.

Touch and Feel books, any books with short narrations will do. I agree with the first comment, those with very colorful and big pictures is a must. :)
