spotting

Is spotting one of the signs for potential pregnancy? Hubs and I tried conceiving for few months now and it's the first time I felt different. My cycle is around 35 days every time and my next expected period should be in 2 weeks time but I'm spotting already. Usually I would bloat really badly and my back would feel soreness. It's just cramps for the whole day of yesterday and now theres nothing, not even cramp. I'm worried because I just passed my probation for my new job and I'm staying with my in-laws (well, I'm not the lucky few who enjoys their company), so I'm not sure how to feel..
