Should I take my baby to the doctor for teething pain?

It's not necessary unless your baby develops a temperature or has diarrhoea just before a tooth erupts. However, it's unlikely that teething is to blame. Treat these symptoms separately, and take him/her to the doctor if you're worried. My friend uses a frozen bagel to help with her son's teething pains. Although frozen, the bagel is still soft enough to cushion the pressure and it absorbs drool. But be sure that baby is always supervised when he is teething on the bagel, to prevent choking.
