My son has had a fever last 24 hours, spiking up to 39.5 and runny poo but no vomiting. Does it sound like teething or should I take him to the doctor?

is his poop greenish and does he drool more excessively lately? did he try any new food recently? there are several reasons to fever and runny poo - food, milk, teething, bug, are some common reasons. do monitor and see if the fever goes down. he might need to take neurofen for high fever too.

Oh dear, did u manage to find out if the fever was due to teething? 39.5 is rather high, so u may wish to standby some fever patch in the home.
