Just to rant. I choose sale of balance flat and end up only with all the lol 2,3,4. I nv live in a hob low floor before. I used to living in the highest level. I heard a lot of cockroaches and rats and is smelly and less windy. Can anyone living in low level tell me more about the living conditions. Like what should I prevent?

Lower levels tend to have smell coming from water flow holes linking the pipes in the bathroom or service yard area as the dirty water n sewage will come down from upper levels n might flow down slower if there is too much water for the pipe to cope.I would not advise you to get lower floors:) good luck

I think cockroaches and rats is how u maintain the cleanliness of house. My fren stay level 2, no ants don't say cockroaches and rats. But smell and noise is definitely will have. Especially when they clean the rubbish, etc. I think hard to avoid unless sound proof, ventilation do very well

HDB no cockroaches and rats de. Usually landed houses full of roaches. yes it will be less windy, but if your view has no major building obstruction then u still will have wind. Smelly? if u maintain ur hse clean, it won't be smelly. ventilation is key

less windy and yes don't say about high level. i live on the 17th storey also got cockroache before.

I used to stay with my mum on the 3rd floor. No wind at all despite no blocking lor!

Low floor hdb not as windy as the higher floors. I find that it's noiser too.
