Yes. There was once a progressive school here in our area. I used to teach there. Sayang lang because the whole family who owned the school migrated to Spain and they had to shut the school down. Malaki talaga ang kaibahan ng turo. The focus is not just in the academics. Tinuturuan ang bata na maging independent,tulad ng mga 3 year-old kids na tinuturuan mag-ayos ng sarili nila, mag-ayos ng gamit. And then the institution tries to find the kids' hidden talents. I used to have a student na grabeng pasaway. Nakailang lipat na sya ng school. Hindi sya sumusunod. Nanggugulo sa klase. And then we found out his passion, interpretative dance pala at tsaka singing. Since then, naging active na sya sa academics and extra curricular activities. Tuwang tuwa ang mommy nya, na isa ring teacher.
