You're already on the right track by thinking about breastfeeding at 24 weeks! To help prepare for milk production, it’s great to focus on staying hydrated, eating nutritious foods, and getting enough rest. Some moms also start doing gentle breast massage or nipple stimulation (with advice from your doctor) to get the body ready. But don't stress too much — your body will naturally start producing milk after birth, especially once the placenta is delivered. Colostrum, which is the first milk, is actually already being made and is super rich for baby. Just make sure to breastfeed as soon as baby is born, and that will really help jumpstart your milk supply!

It’s great that you’re thinking ahead! At 24 weeks, your body is already preparing to produce milk, so you don’t need to worry too much about actively ‘getting’ milk yet. What helps a lot is making sure you’re eating well and staying hydrated. Once baby is born, frequent nursing is key to establishing a good milk supply — the more baby nurses, the more milk your body will produce. If you're considering pumping before baby arrives, some moms try hand expression or using a breast pump after birth, but your body’s natural response to baby’s feeding is really the best way to prepare!

You’re doing great thinking about breastfeeding preparation early! At 24 weeks, it’s a good time to focus on taking care of yourself — eating balanced meals, staying hydrated, and getting enough rest. Milk production typically ramps up right after birth, especially with the release of the placenta. Colostrum is already being made, so even though it might feel like you’re not ‘producing’ yet, your body is already preparing. When baby arrives, frequent feeding or pumping will help establish your milk supply. Trust your body — it’s amazing how it knows just what to do!

too early pa naman po, pero just to prepare lang po, make sure na namasabaw ang mga kakaenin, usually din pag around 34 o 35 weeks bibigyan ka ng prescription ng ob mo ng malunggay capsules. may mga available na rin na lactation drinks and treats na nakakahelp for the supply. ang pinaka important ay frequent padede, supply and demand kase ito, so the more na nag papadede ka the more na dadami supply mo. wag ka rin pala mag pa stress. Enjoy your pregnancy journey

Base sa science at 16 weeks may milk na napro-produce ang breast ng isang buntis, but if wala pa, positive mindset is the key.

I'm sure your OB will have helpful tips. In my personal experience, my in laws would serve mga pagkain na may sabaw, lalong lalo na anything na may malunggay! :) Have a safe and healthy pregnancy, mommy!
