Our friend's kid had extreme pain when his molars came through. Does anybody have any advice on how we can reduce the pain or make this easier for our kid? I am a bit worried. We know the common tricks for baby teeth, but I wondered if there's any special advice for molars. Thanks!

Gently rub his gums with a clean finger or toothbrush so that you can get to the molar area. Offer a raw carrot, cucumber or celery stick. Chilled solid teething ring (instead of a gel or liquid filled one). If he has a lack of appetite, chilled food like yoghurt may be more appealing to him. Do use a frozen teether or popsicle that can reach to the back of your child's gums to relieve the pain.. http://sg.theasianparent.com/treatment-for-babys-teething-pain/

Teething rings and cold washcloths (chilled in refrigerators) can help. Following what Juliana said, cold foods such as ice cream or yogurt might also help :)

Has he tried an ice lolly, ice cream or frozen teethers? The cold might help relieve the discomfort. Apply teething gels at bedtime to numb the gums.

You might like to offer the kid frozen fruits, it's healthy and able to relieve them from the discomfort.

thanks
