Toddler fell into the pool

I’m a worried mom. We brought our 2yo for a swim yesterday at RWS beach villas. The pool right outside the villa is not deep for him where he can even sit just like a baby pool. Their pool is connected to the adult pool with steps. We were sitting at the steps with our 2yo standing just beside us then he walked forward which led him to fall into the adult pool. We immediately picked him up and he coughed a bit. But I am worried if my 2yo swallowed a lot of water or if any water gets into his lungs. Any advice?
