Is it ok to buy preloved kids books? How do u clean paper books? what is the other child had hand foot mouth disease or some othr contagious illness?

Soft books - wash with warm soapy water, rinse and dry completely Fabric books - machine wash (or i think hand wash is good too) with baby detergent, air dry Hardcover books - clean using a homemade vinegar solution (by mixing 1/4 cup vinegar with 2 cups warm water). Wipe the book cover and dry immediately by wiping with another piece of cloth. So these are simply added precaution I guess. Like what Yuna mentioned, it is up to your comfort level whether you are alright with your children handling preloved books.

Personally, I wouldn't buy preloved books for my child until he or she is old enough to know that putting things into his or her mouth is not necessarily a good idea. But then again, buying pre loved books is very similar to borrowing books from the library. You never know who or what has come into contact with those books. At the end of the day, I reckon it's up to you. If you feel squeamish about such things, best to avoid buying pre loved books, if you don't think too much about it, then you're free to explore many preloved shopping options.

I think is ok to buy preloved story books as I think it's equivalent to borrowing books in a library. Personally I will check reviews of the seller & also check with seller the condition of the books before I confirm the deal

That’s a really good question. When we got Pre Loved books during the initial months of the pandemic, I wiped the covers and pages with Dettol wipes. I’m not as particular now.
