Itching on the neck
My lo is 5 m.o and often wakes up in the night crying and scratching her neck, she seems having very itching neck and it’s disturbing her sleep! Any mom facing the same problem? And what would be the remedies to cure it??
Have you checked her neck? Are there rashes or dirt or milk residue? Carry her with the neck extended a bit to look at every neck fold to check. Make sure every fold gets cleaned every day, during bath time and before bedtimeRead more
Yes I have been cleaning her neck very well, no sign of rashes or dirt or milk residue. But every night she wakes up and crying scratching her neck, Pd gave cream and seems doesn’t work at all
- My baby is only 2 months old. The doctor says she has infant eczema around her neck area. She has chubby cheeks and lots of layer at her neck. After applying starch powder on her neck , the collar of the romper will turn yellow and will have a sticky layer at the neck and a bad smell. What should I do to make her feel better? Will things get better? I'm super worried.
If you're feeding breastmilk, it could be the food which you take that causes the flare up. Do see a PD to determine the cause of the eczema. What you can do for your baby is also to embark on an elimination diet. Baby may be sensitive to milk, gluten, peanuts, etc. http://kellymom.com/health/baby-health/food-sensitivity/ As for the exterior, do keep the area dry and free from soap. The California Baby Calendula cream has worked for many mums to keep eczema under control.Callie Chan
- My baby is 5mo and knows how to flip. The issue now is, she will keep flipping to be on her tummy and neck held high when I coax her to sleep. Any one with the same issue? How do you manage this issue?
My baby used to be like this. They are excited with their new stunt. I would gently pat her and lowered her head to the side. Baby sleeps best on tummy so they won't be startled over little things and sleep better. Do it with caution and to watch over baby to prevent SID. Try relaxing her muscles by massaging her body before sleep. After a while, they will learn to sleep well. Don't worry about t mummy. Congrats on baby's flipping. Crawling is coming soon.Anonymous
