The normal ways that most parents interact with their children don't cause Abusive Head Trauma. Bouncing a baby on your leg, swinging him in his swing, jiggling a child in your arms, or tossing him gently in the air won't cause Abusive Head Trauma. An accidental fall is also extremely unlike to cause the condition. Abusive Head Trauma results from a deliberately violent back-and-forth motion. Typically when an adult is overwhelmed by a crying baby and tries to get him to stop. When a child's head is shaken back and forth, his brain bumps against the skull, causing bruising, swelling, pressure, and bleeding in and around the brain. The impact often causes bleeding in the retina.
Show him videos of kids accidentally falling, that should do the trick! Just kidding, but definitely make sure you sit him down and tell him the laundry list of possibilities and the consequences should he accidentally slip and lose control! Here's a link on the topic of dropping your baby, of which highly advises you to try everything in your power to prevent it from happening (purely because babies are incredibly fragile and a simple fall could cause irreparable damage): https://www.fatherly.com/what-to-do-if-you-drop-your-baby-on-the-head-1392332923.html
Haha, I have seen that happening :). You may be over concerned on this, sometimes kid like to play like this but if you think he is being dangerously rough, ask him to read about how to play with babies and what could lead to your baby getting hurt. Make him read this:- http://www.babycenter.in/x1015242/is-it-safe-for-my-husband-and-baby-to-play-rough-and-tumble-games-together
You should sit with your hubby and tell him to be gentle because at 3 weeks, a newborn is still not at their strongest and bones are not fully developed. Please make sure to sit with hubby and have a chat with him! It's always nice to have a excited and playful daddy, but their are plenty of ways to be playful.
People have different ways of showing affection, sadly it can be hurtful sometimes. i guess the best course of action is to show him instructional videos on how to handle babies. Or better yet, have your doctor talk to your husband . It's important for parents to know how to take care of their children.
