My 8 month old shared some of my ice cream yesterday. I know we aren't supposed to give babies sugar before they are 1 year old. Should I be worried?

Though experts suggest that you should feed your babies with ice cream until they are 1. But, if your baby is already on panner, tofu, or other milk based products then you don't need to worry too much. One time ice cream consumption should not harm the baby but before trying it in future, you must watch out for allergies from artificial colours, nuts or specific fruits to protect your baby from any sort of illness.

Generally you are not asked to feed your child sugar or salt because your bub’s body is not ready to break it down well, plus no one likes a hyper kid due to sugar rush or decayed teeth when they just start teething. You shouldn’t be scared for one episode of ice cream, but it’s always advisable to refrain feeding them it as long as possible

Its just once so you need not worry unless your baby has had an allergic reaction.
