My 2 week old baby fidgets a lot when she sleeps. She is well fed and burped but when you put her down to sleep, after sometime, she will be kicking, stretching and squirming a lot. She is obviously tired and restless because she keeps yawning and I'm not sure if it is too warm or doesn't want to be swaddled. What should I do?

It is normal for babies to fidget when sleeping. Mine too!!! Generally babies have shorter sleep cycles than adults and their sleep patterns change as they grow. Infants first enter a phase of light sleep that is longer than one that an adult typically experiences. Your baby may not have reached deep sleep even after she appeared to be sleeping for a while. She will be likely awaken every few hours and move about before falling asleep again. Not to worried. If she is well fed and burped, should be fine.
