Yes. You can start to take folic acid when you are preparing to conceive. Folic acid is essential in developing bundle of nerves also known as neural tube which are use in building baby's spine & nervous system. Neural tube is form in early pregnancy when you may not realise you've conceived. Hence you should start taking folic acid as soon as you are trying for a baby. http://www.babycentre.co.uk/x2232/how-much-folic-acid-do-i-need-to-take-while-trying

It is good to start taking folic acid during conceiving. I recommend blackmores conceive well which include other vital vitamins to prepare the body and also include folic acid. If you did not take folic acid until you are pregnant, you do not have to worry though. Start as soon as you found out you are pregnant.

Ideally, you should take folic acid 3 months before you conceive for optimal fetal neural development. If you are actively trying to conceive, do start on folic acid! :) http://pregnant.sg/articles/10-foods-rich-in-folic-acid/

Try to take it before you get pregnant but if you haven't had any prior to being pregnant, just take it as soon as you find out that you are!

I start taking folic, 2 months before i plan to conceive. But i think it’s not to late for you to eat them now

Of course. It’s recommended that you take folic acid as soon as you start your pregnancy planning.

wala naman pinayo OB ko pero ang advice ng mga nurse sa gabi dahil nakakaantok daw ang folic.

As per OB, it helps a lot if you take folic acid while trying to conceive 😊
