Super Mum

My baby’s milk intake dropped after I started solids, so if I was doing a bottle feed before the meal and there was leftover milk in the bottle, I would use that to make the cereal. Otherwise I just use water. Adding veg puree is perfectly fine:) or you can also serve them separately (my LO likes alternating one spoon of each different thing. Heh) I actually started with just a couple of spoons of solids, once a day (usually lunch time). Then increased to a bigger amount, once a day. Then when she was finishing all her food, or when she was consistently awake during the evenings, I started her on 2 meals and gradually 3:)

thanks for replying 😊

Super Mum

I started by adding breastmilk and switched to water when her infant care teacher gave her chicken cereal (it tasted funny with breastmilk). I did mix puree to cereal later on but remember to just give one type of food at a time for a few days to monitor for allergy. I started with just around 30ml. Only gave 60ml and twice daily around 7mths

thanks for yr advice 😊
