seat for pregnant women

Hi mummies. How do u approach strangers for a seats in trains and buses? Do you tap them if they're asleep? Most have headphones on or sleep. How about those with eyes glued on their phones. SG isn't really a friendly place by default. Is there a nice way I can try next time?

Never gotten a seat. One auntie even can stare at my baby bump for like 10 seconds then she look away and I was directly in front of her. 😅😅😅

I am not offered seats till now and I didn’t bother to ask for it because they didn’t bother to even give up seats for very frail and old people who are standing in front of them :(
