Hi mummies and daddies, how do you teach your lo not to throw things off the high chair or cot?

How old is your little one? Mine is one and when she does it I raise my finger, give her the look and walk out of the room and close the door and I sit on the floor outside her room, while she cries and screams a hissy fit. Once she has calmed down I go back in, hug her and kiss her and firmly say no while pointing to the Toy. The next time she does it, I do the same. 3 days later she stopped doing it as she knew mummy meant business.

mine is 10 months plus and he loves to throw things off the cot or highchair..

be very firm and said no. For me, if they continue to throw after picking up after them. then i won't bother picking it up. I will just tell them. since you are going to throw it. means you don't want it. Then im going to leave it there.

be firm and say no. if lo continues to throw i would not pick it up and give it back. pick it up and put it away.

This reminds me of my neighbour. Their boy is nearly 3 years old and he constantly throw his toys out the gate.
