Thumb sucking

Hi mummies, could you share some tips on helping my son to stop thumb-sucking? I read online that they'll slowly stop at 1 but he's 18m and still not showing signs of stopping T_T we've tried the bitter water from shopee but no difference in taste at all. My worry about this is his teeth is growing and I do not want it to affect the growth of his teeth. Would love to listen to some of your ideas. Thanks!

You may put on Sesami oil on his thumb and see if it works .. My little one stops after putting it , he dislikes the taste and stopped ...

if he's tired, introduce a new bedtime routine for example, extra story to help him wind down without his thumb

if he's bored, keep his hands bz with engaging acyivities like drawing, puzzles or play dough

My nephew put plaster and he felt weird putting his finger in his mouth and stopped ..

create a sticker chart with a sticker each day he doesnt suck his thumb
