Toddler - eating habits

Hi mga momshies. My son is turning 2 this July. Mahilig sya sa snack but he does not eat bread like pandesal or tasty or any kind of bread aside from cake. He is only eating 'Inipit' as his bread pero even if you disguise bread (tasty) on its packaging, it is not effective. Also, he is not eating rice. I just want to know if any of your children are like this and if you have any solution? or if children are normally like this. He is my first so I don't have any experiences. I would like to check kasi my amigas have no problem feeding their child with bread and rice. Please respect. I would like to learn and be able to feed my son properly. My child is eating more fish, chicken, cauliflower, patatas and carrots hidden on chicken fillets I am making. But if possible, I would like my son to not be picky on what he eats and your recommendations will be a big help.

Hello. I'm a FTM also with a 2 years old daughter. My solution is to keep offering without forcing. If ayaw okay lang, I don't force. Then I let her eat it the way she wants, using utensils or hands, and let her get messy. I also don't give my daughter sweets and junk foods. Like "inipit" for example, because it's too sweet. Pedia says to refrain giving too much sweets as it disrupts appetite. I do give her fita, plain or vegetable biscuits. With the rice, normal for kids not to like rice kasi tasteless, pero keep offering, he'll eventually understand that rice comes with viand no matter what. I don't hide foods or disguise them. I introduce them raw, then the process of cooking, then how it looked when cooked. Before my daughter won't eat tortang talong, even if she knows it was eggplant. Same with egg omelet with cooked tomatoes and onions in it. She eats egg, scrambled, omelet or boiled and munch on raw tomatoes and bits of onions, but she doesn't eat egg with cooked tomatoes and onions. But since I was always cooking it and offering or putting it on the table she eventually tried it and begin to like it. Ganon lang po. Hope it helps.
