Pumping Questions

Do you all massage prior? How long do we pump, is 15 minutes enough since after 10 I barely have any drops ? Also, what do you use to wipe boobs prior or after?

I’m an EP mum. Used to pump 30 min then reduced to 20 and now 15 because like what u said, hardly anything after 10min anyway. But I will always finish with hand expression. You will be surprised that even though when u pump past 10 min there seems to be no more milk, but when you hand express there’s plenty more (at least 10 ml).

Super Mum

I used to massage before pumping in the first 2-3 months then got lazy and stopped 😛. For me also it only takes 10 minutes to reach maximum amount but it's good to go a bit longer than that, maybe 15 min if you want to stimulate more milk production.

My first one I pumped 30 mins for a year and a half! Was an EP mummy. Now for second one I more wary already, if around 15mins my boobs are soft I stop. My masseur said 15-20 mins is enough.

Thanks, cos after 10 mins i got nothing coming out le so not sure how long i shld continue..

I usually do 20 mins, sometimes 25. I notice I can achieve more let downs sometimes after 20mins. Used to use nipple cream but now just use a small towel to wipe my nips after pump.

I shower or wash my breast with warm water first then massage my breast during each pump

I use baby wet wipes. My 1 pump session is 30 min in order to clear my boobs.

I don't massage. I just pump for 15m and I use a tissue to wipe.
