The lockdown has once again brought to light the issue of Domestic Abuse, which many women (and few men) suffer on a daily basis, I am sure many do. Abuse does not have to be physical, there does not need to be evidence. Mental abuse is just as agonizing and painful.
I want to reach out to all women here who are going through a difficult time right now, to know you are not alone. Please do not suffer in silence, reach out to a friend, a relative or someone who you think might understand and help. There is no shame in this! Painting a picture of a perfect family when inside your home the story is much different? You know what I mean. Seek help! It is not always easy to remove yourself from an abusive relationship, as many women are financially dependent on their abuser, most cases their husbands. But always remember you are precious and deserve love, no one should put you in a corner.
Those who love you will never hurt you! Love and abuse CANNOT coexist!
