I've read that colds are caused by viruses/bacteria but my mom insists that my baby gets sick whenever "natutuyuan ng pawis" - is there any truth to or scientific basis for this?

My sister who studies in a nursing school says there's no truth to it. It's just another myth that out folks used to believe. During the summer, my kid frequently had sweat on his back, but all throughout he didn't catch cold. But in defense of what our folks usually believe, when our body heats and produces sweat and it may feel cold in our skin if we let it dry. This can cause a certain physiological effect on our bodies, the same effect on our bodies during frequent weather changes.
