How much to raise a child till university?

Medicine is probably about $25,000 a year x 5 years, while Arts and Social Sciences might be about $5,000 a year x 4 years (with honours). Then it depends on whether your child goes to a government school prior or those independent schools that have much higher school fees (eg. $250/month). And these are just school fees alone. A conservative figure would be $100,000 per child? Excluding insurance and family holidays, etc.
