Is it okay to bottle feed your baby after six months of breastfeeding?
Yes. It's okay to introduce bottle after the 3rd month as baby should have already mastered the skill of latching correctly and the risk of having nipple confusion is low. However, you may face another problem when you start to introduce bottle after 6 months of direct latching. Your baby will likely refuse bottle! My baby totally refuses bottle when I try to feed him on bottle when he was 4 months old. Luckily I'm a stay-at-home mom so I continue to direct latch him since there is no other care giver involved. You may want to start training your baby to feed from bottle earlier if you are going back to work.

My baby used to take any bottle until she reached 3 weeks old when she went on a bottle strike and decided she wanted to be fully breastfed. Yesterday, we tried again with the MAM bottle and some expressed breast milk and she amazed us by drinking from the bottle. I think it has something to do with the teat. It's flatter instead of round like most bottle teats. If you intend to continue breastfeeding, do latch your baby whenever you can and limit bottle feeding.
