Breastfeeding after baby is 2 months old

I have stopped breastfeeding for now & giving breast milk through bottle. Is it ok if i were to start breastfeeding back once the baby is a lil big around 2 months old? Cause i did try breastfeeding & since bby mouth is small i can't seem to get a good latch & my nipples are getting sore.

Yes, it is perfectly okay to start breastfeeding again once your baby is a little older, around 2 months old, even if you have been giving breast milk through a bottle. It's common for new mothers to face challenges with breastfeeding, especially in the early stages when both you and your baby are still learning. To help improve the latch and reduce nipple soreness, you can try different breastfeeding positions to find one that is comfortable for both you and your baby. Ensuring that your baby's mouth is wide open before latching can also help with getting a better latch. Additionally, seeking support from a lactation consultant or a breastfeeding support group can provide you with personalized advice and assistance. Remember to be patient with yourself and your baby as you both adjust to breastfeeding. It's a learning process for both of you, and with time and practice, you can improve the latch and make breastfeeding a more comfortable experience for you and your baby. If you continue to have difficulties with breastfeeding, don't hesitate to reach out to a lactation consultant for further guidance and support. They can provide you with expert advice tailored to your specific situation. https://invl.io/cll6she

My baby stopped latching since he was 2 months old. When he was 4.5 months, he started rejecting the bottle and I tried nursing him again. Magically, he took it really well. Now that he is almost 6 months old, I’m nursing him majority of the time :) Don’t give up! 💪🏻

I'd recommend reducing your frequency of latching but not entirely stop for now to prevent nipple confusion. My baby didn't recognise the nipple as milk after I stopped for too long, and then refused to latch anymore. My own fault, makes me sad still.

I stopped for about a month, and retried at 3 months. By then it was too late.

Try football hold position and put pillows below your elbow for support. It helps me to guide my little one’s mouth to my nipple better

i tried football hold. but always get frustrated while trying to get bby latch in that position

Yup, as long as baby is willing to latch.
