It depends on a lot of things, availability of good daycares, willingness of grandparents. As per me, the ideal solution is half day Daycare, rest with Grandparents. Full day with Grandparents is extremely tiring for grandparents and leaves them with no time for themselves which can be frustrating. I also believe that there are advantages of daycare interactions so few hours in daycare works wonder. In case you have to choose just one - daycare works the best...
i think you will have to take a call based on how comfortable the grandparents are with the idea of taking care of the grandchild. you will have to take into account things such as their age, whether or not they will be able to run around with the grandchild, if you can find a full-time or partial maid who can stay at their place to help with the child's requirements and such. personally, i would leave my child with the grandparents instead of at a daycare
Dear Punita, there is no one size fits all solution to this dilemma. First and foremost, what is the age of the child? Is he a social child? Have you got good, reliable daycare facilities around your home or workplace ? If grandparents are ready to share the responsibility,it is best to have this option and get a nanny /additional help to take care of child in their supervision.
If the grandparents are ready to pitch in, then nothing better than leaving your child with them. They are the best people who will take care of your kid in your absence and with love. Of course, hire a maid for the running around as the grandparents are old and don't have the energy to cope up with the running around after the kid.
