Cervic Thining 32weeks

Im in my 32weeks..im having contractions yesterday for whole day.. So my husb forced me to go to hosp to futher checkp up.. And Doc just confirmed tat my cervic lenght were 1.8cm supposedly the normal lenght is 3.5cm.. She suspected il be prel labour.. She gv me dexa injection and prescribed me some medi, 1month hospitalizations leave so i cn bed rest.. Im just confused..its seems everthing goes normal until i heard this today.. Any mommy having dilemma like this before.. Pls share ur experience..
