Baby feeding

Hi mommies.. Actually im in a dilemma.. can pls gv me some advise on baby's feeding. As far as i know baby need to be feed every 2 to 3 hours. But my newborn woke up for feeding when she wants so i couldn't follow the feeding timing. Even if i forced her to wake up for feeding, she will close tight her mouth. And she wakes up if hungry. Is it ok for me to follow her and not follow the feeding schedule? Pls advise. Thank you.
