What's the best age to have a baby? And what do I need to prepare for the pregnancy?

I'm 20 y.o this year and I'm planning to have a baby in 1-2 years. Is it too early? I hope to find out the relevant costs for pregnancy and the preparations for the pregnancy process.

it isnt too early as long as you plan. you can do prenatal visits like a body check up to draw up a plan how to conceive healthily. ultimately it depends on your budget constraint. if you have a budget, go under subsidized for check up. get a referral letter from polyclinic to be referred to hospital. bit that would mean long waiting time and constant changing of gynae. if you have the budget, opt for private

Omg you are so young Why don’t focus on your life and worry about that in 3-4 years Get career and life on track before anything because you, family and child would need the finances to survive in sg and I believe you would want to give your future child the best you can.

there’s no fixed age where it’s too early to have a kid, my young Friend. Just need to make sure you’re at peace with “losing” your freedom so early and you’ll need to stay at home taking care of your baby when all your friends are having fun?

It's really good that you're already starting to plan ahead. To be honest, there's no specific age. As long as you are really to tackle this, mentally and physically, and is financially able to afford such that you don't suffer yourself, go ahead :)

Well. not too early also la.. And not confirm will have lex.. I married 19 . But no chance of pregnancy until 23 years old then i got my first child. 😱 So sometimes things dont go accordingly..

Once ready please have it.. i delayed almost 5 years wanting to focus on career and others and had difficulty conceiving.. lately just found out that I am pregnant finally.. after 5 yearssssss..

Nope! Whenever you’re ready! I’m 23 this year, but pregnancy is really taking a toll on my body. I’m soooo tired 24/7. I really can’t imagine having to go through this at a older age

Hmm...Here is a rough estimate of how much it costs to give birth in Singapore: https://sg.theasianparent.com/pregnancy_gynaecologists_and_hospitals-2/ Hope it helps!

Personally I feel there's no proper way to be mentally or physically prepared . Just go with the flow but best to have a child before turning 30.
