Hi all, may I know why we can't cut baby finger nails at night? Is this a myth?

Yes. Older generation will say don't cut the nails at night. Some also say don't cut when baby is asleep. Well for some new parents, they prefer cutting nails when baby is asleep as it is easier to cut.

Oh no, i have been cutting all these while never bothered about the myth. Be it for baby, my older boy or myself. As long as its long and i notice it, ill snip snip and start cutting.

I think it is a myth. Probably came about because the lighting conditions in the past was bad, making it dangerous to cut a baby's nails at night. Just my speculation though.

Cut as and when we want. Didnt bother about day or night. I didnt hear any with regards to this..so most probably its a myth
