Solid food

Hello! May I know what are some food I can feed my baby as she is starting solid food next month? Doctor suspect she might have eczema so Im abit hesitant to introduce certain food as Im afraid she might flare up.. I’m also going holiday soon, so Im not sure what to feed her when Im away as most baby food contains oats and rice which I read that eczema babies should avoid? TIA!

Try not to start new foods when you are overseas as it may be hard to see medical care if needed (due to unfamiliarity and/or language barrier). Root vegetables are great (from the other comments) but please also introduce allergenic foods when you start weaning. One food a day, preferably in the morning. A group of the eight major allergenic foods is often referred to as the Big-8 and comprises milk, eggs, fish, crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat and soybean.

Mine started on oatmeal by Gerbers. Then over time I started introducing him to fruits and vegs (pumpkin, avocado, sweet potato, etc.). I also wasn't sure if my baby will be allergic to anything, so everytime I try new foods I'll wait around 3-4 days to check for any symptoms of allergies.

pureed root veggies eg pumpkin, carrot, potato, sweet potatoes, broccoli etc. I started my kid eith gerber oatmeal too.
