Not enough rest as a new mother

I know it can be a bit silly to ask but i just would like some reassurance.. Is it normal to not have proper sleep and rest with a newborn? 😢 No helper around to help with housework. Exclusive pumping and washing of milk bottles and feeding baby are enough to tire me out...

Yes, even experienced moms too. I have no helper either and I'm a SAHM. As a new mom, try to sleep when the baby sleeps (in the morning after shower and breakfast or afternoon). This is easier if you don't have any other children around. Rest & sleep is a must, mainly for sanity and to recover fast. Don't worry. You'll get the hang of it in no time. Get your husband to help too. Afterall, having children is a teamwork. Since you're pumping, can take turn with your husband to feed the baby unless you're latching directly. If you're latching, you can also co-sleep with baby on the side of your breasts so baby can latch anytime baby need and wants.
