Mummy with severe allergy - hives

I have been having allergies even before pregnant and can only be controlled with medication as cream doesn’t help. Usually take zyrtec which has cetirizine dihydrochloride. During pregnancy I tried not to take any medication but the allergy is so bad that it spreads to the whole body including face even without me scratching it and I have sleepless nights due to this. To sleep peacefully I have no choice but to take the medication which I have also consulted gynae Which they said it’s fine to take. But was wondering will there be any complication if taken on daily basis since the allergy will flare up mostly on daily basis and won’t go away until medication is taken? Worry that it will affect baby and I’m only in my 2nd trimester & still have months to go..

that must be difficult for you.... I have dustmite and pollen allergy, I take Clarityn ( loratadine ). as long as your gynae says it's ok to take, should not have side effects to baby. my rashes are quite bad too, I scratch so much it bleeds and I have many ugly scarring 🥲 I've used Suu Balm but recently I switched to Derma Lab (see picture attached) and this one works wonders. within 10-15mins it soothes the itch. I find it helps me a lot when my allergy flares up.

Really feel sorry for your situation. Would like to suggest using suu balm as I personally found the menthol cooling effect useful for my itch, though my allergies are nowhere near as serious as yours. Sending good wishes your way that you and your baby will be healthy and comfortable.

I think best to ask the doc itself or gynae. Bt cetirizine is safe for pregnancy, ive taken it too

I consulted a specialist before, he said the the safest antihistamine is chlorpheniramine :)
