Hi.. i have a 5 years old son who was just diagnosed with (IBD) Ulcerative colitis last year..with his poo.. full of blood when flaring up. It is a very rare disease for kids in singapore. No known cause of it.. and no cure.. Only long term medications and strict diets.... Very heartpain and stress for me. Any mummies out here with IBD child can share how do you cope with it? TIA...

Sorry to hear about it. Have you visited the IBD Centre at Singapore General Hospital? There's also a support system registered under the MOH that can help (http://ibd.org.sg/english/). Good luck and keep us posted about your son's progress.

Try a gluten free diet? My husband has IBD. Gluten free diet really helped. Also we have a briliant specialist - Dr Jennifer Liauw, at The Surgical Practice @ Mt Elizabeth Novena 6570 2122. She is totally on top of patient care.
