Same thing happened here as well. Went for a first scan on what we thought was 6w1d but couldn’t see the fetal pole just the two sacs Doc said we’re early and then ovulation may have been later that month. So we’ll see him again when he’s free on week 9 But might go to KKH/NUH for a quick scan around week 8 for peace of mind
Yes this is normal. Gynae usually can check for heartbeat from week 8 onwards. Sometimes it’s too early to check as it’s only a yolk sac. If you are still worried, you can go to another clinic for another scan and get advice from another gynae.
