Unsure (subsidised vs private)

I am currently in the subsidised route at NUH. However my husband and I would like to have our own room so he can stay with me during delivery. We don’t mind the different gynaes via the subsidised route and personally don’t think having our own personal private gynae is necessary. Do you think it’s possible to opt for single bedder later in the pregnancy? Or during delivery time itself. Not sure how this works… FTM. Has anyone done this before?

Yes possible. At your 32 weeks checkup, you will be asked to choose your ward and you can start to be a private patient after you give birth - the wards and any postpartum checkup at NUH. The nurse will explain to you further on this. All the best!

why not? hospitals usually encourage you to be one bedder or change to pte so the profits up
