Flu during early pregnancy

I am 8 weeks now. I had sore throat 2 days ago, and then flu. Doctor said I can take Piriton. After taking it, my nose dried up. My sore throat comes and goes and I feel feverish. Any of you also catch a flu during pregnancy?
