Hi. Obesity may affect fertility. But that is because of other factors, usually PCOD. Best see a fertility expert.

Hi. You are right, the terms are used interchangeably. The cause of it is not known, but obesity is one of the factors that may tip the scales. If you have irregular periods, experience excessive hair growth, please see your doctor. It is quite treatable. Hope it helps.
