How to train my 9 months old to drink from a cup? Or is it too early to train ?

I offered my child when she was about 9 mths old. She rejected. Tried spouts and straw too. All went to waste. At about 2years old, she started to request for her "Elsa" mug. If your child is willing to use, why not. :)
