How to train my 9 months old to drink from a cup? Or is it too early to train ?

Well my 2nd son can drink directly from cup w/o straw thanks to my hubby who train him to drink directly while eating (he didn't know tho) 😂😂😂 As easy put the cup 45 degrees below his mouth, and let the water poured lil by little so he won't be chocked
