How do you think about Abacus ? Should we let the kid learn that?

My boy is currently at CMA and he shows great interest in the subject. They teach on mental calculation and abacus. Mental calculation is very important for children promoting to primary school. Perhaps bring your child for a trial class and check it out.

Learning Abacus I heard it is good when it comes to mental calculation. Many a time now is not so much on mental calculation anymore. It makes your brain works very fast though. However, your kids can work wonders without abacus too.

Abacus is good as it allows the child to focus. Not for the purpose of doing Math better in the future. :)

I send my boy to mental calculations.. Did not use abacus.
