How much time do the stitches take to heal after a vaginal delivery? Any precautions that must be taken?

It usually takes about 10 days to fully recover and the stitches will dissolve by itself. Wash, dry and apply antiseptic cream after every toilet visits to prevent infection. You can spray water directly on it and dry it with toilet paper. It'a better to wear maternity pad which is made of soft cotton instead of normal pad for better comfort. Change maternity pad frequently to prevent infection. Avoid stretching exercises that can tear your stitched area before it's fully recover.

If it stings, you can also use this spray which helps to ease postpartum discomfort down there! :) http://sg.iherb.com/Earth-Mama-Angel-Baby-New-Mama-Bottom-Spray-4-fl-oz-120-ml/28284
